I discovered over at Brandywine Books that The Mystery Writers of America have announced the nominees for the Edgar Allan Poe Awards for best mystery novel, best first mystery novel, best paperback original, and a whole bunch of other categories. I’ve not read a single one of the books or stories nominated ( I told you I get my books on the cheap from the library), nor have I seen any of the movies or TV shows nominated. However, I do have one nominee that I’m rooting for:

For Best Television Episode Teleplay: Monk – “Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf”, Teleplay by Hy Conrad

No, I haven’t seen this episode. It’s from this year, and we don’t have cable.
I love Monk.
