Saturday Review of Books: September 23, 2006

Here’s how it works, folks. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.

Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. Please add only one book review per customer per week. (However, if your children, friends, or other family members have their own blogs and have written on a book, they are welcome to add their own link.) In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Thanks to everyone for reviewing, blogging, and linking.

  1. Need a lot of choices on what to read next. I mean, like a LOT of choices. Pop over to see the suggestions of 17 different bloggers in one neat list.

  2. Jayber Crow is impressed on my mind. I’d love to hear from other readers of Berry’s Port William books. Do they promise to be as good as Jayber?

Since this is my first Berry reading, if all of his books are this “still waters run deep” kind, I’ll read him the rest of my life.

(Sandy, I don’t know why ever time I post through Mister Linky I get ‘delete link.’ Thanks for fixing it last week!)

  3. Great little book feature, Semicolon. Also, thanks for the heads up on the ‘Field Day.’ We’ve been celebrating autumn by welcoming the birds and the otters.
