I see that today is the birthday of novelist Henry James. I read The Turn of the Screw last year and wrote about it.
Also born on this date: Emma Thompson, one of my favorite actresses, Bliss Carman, who wrote my favorite autumn poem, and Leonardo da VInci, one of the most talented men this world has ever seen.
Emma Thompson is fantastic. I especially loved her in Love Actually.
speaking of da Vinci, have y=u seen that new show on the Discovery Channel called “Doing da Vinci” where a bunch of folks try to create actual full size versions of things da Vinci drew in his notebooks…very interesting, in a very nerdy way.

Leonardo da Vinci was such an amazingly talented and intelligent man! I need to read a good bio of him! I saw an IMAX called “Adreneline Rush” in which they made a full-size replica of one of da Vinci’s flying machines … this may have been an excerpt of the show Caite saw. Will check Discovery Channel for more info.
