Tonight we read Winnie-the-Pooh in honor of the birthday of A.A. Milne. I love Winnie-the-Pooh, maybe because I often feel like a “bear of very little brain.” I also love this article by Sam Torode from Boundless magazineabout how he discovered Winnie-the-Pooh in college. No, Pooh wasn’t in college; Sam Torode was. This is a good WInnie the Pooh site with games, coloring pages, screensavers and other stuff from Disney’s Pooh. If you’re a classic Pooh purist, don’t bother.

” Well,” said Pooh, ” what I like best — “and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.

” I don’t see much sense in that,”said Rabbit. ” No,”said Pooh humbly, ” there isn’t. But there was going to be when I began it. It’s just that something happened to it along the way.”
