  1. I grew up in the 1950s and 60s singing K-K-K-Katy to my younger sister – had no idea it dated from the First World War (although it was only 40 years old then – oh, my!)
    Actually, we sang a lot of these songs…

  2. My grandmother used to sing K-K-K-Katy to us, but she’d put the name of whichever grandchild she was singing to in the place of Katy.
