Coming Attractions: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

I found out about most of these from this article: 11 Thought-Provoking Movies to Look For This Fall by Marc T. Newman.

Looking good:
Ballet Shoes, based on the novel by Noel Streatfield, is supposed to be already released in the U.S. (limited release August 26th). However, I can’t find any place showing the movie in the Houston area.
Igor (PG) – September 19. An animated feature from a new company, Exodus Productions. Igor thinks he can win the science fair and decides to try in spite of ridicule and persecution.
The Tale of Despereaux (not yet rated) – December 19. I still haven’t read the Newbery Award winning book that is the source for this movie. Maybe it’s time I picked it up at the library.

Possible:
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (PG-13) — November 7. Another book I’ve read reviews of but haven’t actually read. The reviews were mixed.

Bad and ugly:
If this movie version (Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist PG-13 – October 3) of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist sticks to the storyline in the book, Christians or anyone who has any moral standards won’t want to see it. Read here for my review of the book to find out why.
