Saturday Review of Books: August 23, 2008
“Every man who knows how to read has it in him power to magnify himself, to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant, and interesting.”
~Aldous Huxley
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books.
Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Well, it’s been more than a month since I’ve posted reviews here. I hope to be back in the swing of things. Thanks Sherry!
Like Natasha I haven’t been posting reviews here. Unlike Natasha I haven’t been posting reviews anywhere for the last month! Hopefully I’m back on track and can stay there for awhile.
This week I reviewed:
1. A book about the education method of the famous Marva Collins (Marva Collins’ Way).
2. A book that analyzed research about homeschoolers and socialization (But What About Socialization?)
3. A children’s book (ages 9-12), advanced reading copy to be published October 1, first time published author, supposedly fantasy genre. Also speaks to the creative process and art making and art appreciation. (The Unnameables)

Oops, I think I made a mistake with my first link, sorry
