Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Our contribution this week is a conversation about the oldest recorded story known (more than 4,500 years old!): Lugalbanda – The Story Of The Boy Who Got Caught up in a War. It is an epic tale from ancient Iraq.

As always, thanks for hosting the Review. I linked it to M-mv this afternoon. I’ve been late to the party the last couple of times. We have music lessons Saturday mornings, and sometimes there isn’t enough time to log on before we leave.
Loved your “Lost” timeline and comments. Master and I think it’s Michael was in the coffin, and we’re also having some Donnie Darko-ish ideas about the plot. Have you folks seen that film?

I wrote about another Newbery winner – one of the few I read and loved as a child, that holds up well over thirty years later. 🙂
