Saturday Review of Books: December 2, 2006

Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.

Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Thanks to everyone for reviewing, blogging, and linking. Visit Semicolon’s Amazon Store for more great book recommendations.

  1. Thanks for your “Victory” review, I agree with you about the cover, it is appealing….I guess it’s a case of “don’t judge a book by its cover!!!” (though often I think you generally can!) Thanks for hosting the book reviews on Saturday, I love it.

  2. I love reading everyone’s reviews each Saturday, too. Thanks for hosting every week. It’s another Dick Francis book for me.

  3. This is my first time participating so I’m kinda nervous. I look forward to reading through the other posts. 🙂

  4. Thanks for hosting! I can’t seem to finish an adult book, but we’re reading picture books aplenty. Both of these were on display at my library and looked inviting, so I brought them home, and was happy I did.

  5. Hi again,

I actually remembered in time to add our picks to the Saturday review and can you believe I updated the wrong post? Sorry. I can’t seem to delete my post from your Nov. 11 SatRev .

I’ve added our conversation about the book “I Want A Dog”, which is just so good on so many levels. I hope it’s ok if I add a second book, because The Red Wolf is a not-to-be-missed book that I can’t resist adding…

Thanks for this great community building!
    Andrea
