Sherry-

Thank you for the clarification. I don't mind, I would have appreciated a heads up, but I am honored you liked my review enough to post it. Thank you.

Hi Sherry--

I just wanted to drop you a note. Until today I was unfamiliar with your blog. (which was my loss) However, I received a comment regarding someone finding me via your site. Someone had posted a picture and excerpt from book I recently read on your Mr. Linky. However, it was not me. I realize in the grand jist that this is basically a no harm, no foul issue-but it's just a little weird that someone trolled my blog to post to yours.(re: entry #87) I realize there is nothing you can do to prevent this, but I did want to make you aware that it had happened.

This week I reviewed the 1948 Newbery winner, "The Twenty-One Balloons". I was absolutely amazed by how much both my son & I loved it, and a bit dismayed that I'd never heard of it before. I would have loved it as a kid, too, which you can't say about all of the Newbery winners. I can't figure out why this book isn't better known.

Good morning, readers! I read more on the Vietnam War, then a Hellboy graphic novel for a change of pace. I know that a graphic novel about a monster- and demon-fighting creature might not be everyone's cuppa, but Hellboy, who is a reformed demon who fights for good and is constantly being tempted to the dark side, is an interesting hero.
